About this ride

The south-western end of the Ma-10 links Andratx with the coast villages of Estellencs and Banyalbufar. It is quieter than the northern end of the Tramuntana and just as dramatic, with the road clinging to the hillside high above the sea.

The ride starts with the hardest part: the climb from Andratx to the Coll de sa Gramola, about 5.7 km at a steady 5 %, from under 70 m to about 360 m. From the col the road turns north along the coast and stays high, rolling through two short tunnels and past Estellencs before reaching Banyalbufar after about 25 km and some 540 m of climbing in total.

There are few places to stop between Andratx and Estellencs, so leave with full bottles.

It is a point-to-point ride, so plan how you will get back. Many riders continue along the Ma-10 towards Valldemossa.
