About this ride
A short, quiet loop through the villages of the plain, in the middle of the island, away from the mountains and the busy coast roads. It is a ride the local behind this site does regularly.
From Santa Margalida the road rises gently south across the farmland to Sineu, about 11 km away and the high point of the ride at around 130 m. Sa Mola 13, a specialty coffee shop and cyclists’ meeting point, is at the entrance to the town.
From Sineu the route turns north to Muro and then back east to Santa Margalida, mostly downhill or flat: 31 km and about 260 m of climbing in all.
Santa Margalida is a few kilometres inland from Can Picafort, so the loop is easy to add to a ride from the Bay of Alcúdia.
The track is drawn along OpenStreetMap roads with elevations from the official Spanish terrain model.
