About this climb
The old road from Sóller to the Coll de Sóller is a classic of Mallorcan climbing: a long series of hairpins on a narrow road that most cars now avoid by using the tunnel. From Sóller to the col it measures about 8.5 km and gains 460 m, an average of 5.4 %.
It is one of the most even climbs on the island. After a gentler first kilometre, every kilometre sits between 5 and 6.5 %, so you can settle into a rhythm and hold it to the top. That makes it a reliable climb to test an effort on, and a good place to compare your time with the calculator.
At the col, Can Topa is the natural stop before the descent to Bunyola or back to Sóller.
The figures come from OpenStreetMap and the official Spanish terrain model, not yet from a ride by a local.
