About this climb
The climb from Sóller towards Puig Major is the longest in Mallorca. From the centre of Sóller to the mouth of the Monnàber tunnel it measures about 15.4 km and gains 810 m, an average of 5.3 %.
The average hides a lot of variety. The first two kilometres barely rise. Then come long stretches between 6 and 7 %, a couple of easier kilometres to recover, and a final three kilometres that are among the steepest of the whole climb.
On a climb this long, pacing matters more than fitness. The calculator assumes you hold one effort all the way, so choose Steady for a realistic target unless you know you can sustain more for well over an hour. Eat early, and take a layer for the top.
The figures come from OpenStreetMap and the official Spanish terrain model, not yet from a ride by a local.

The first two kilometres out of Sóller are gentle. Don't let them trick you into starting too fast: the last three are the steepest.
The estimate uses your weight plus 8 kg for bike and kit, a share of your FTP (75 % easy, 85 % steady, 95 % all out) and an allowance for rolling resistance and air. Wind, heat and traffic are not included.
