About this ride
The long version of the Bay of Alcúdia ride: from Port d’Alcúdia all the way round the bay and across to Cala Ratjada, on the north-east tip of the island, and back. There are no big climbs, but at almost 100 km it is a full day out.
The first 21 km are the same as the Bay of Alcúdia ride: almost flat, past L’Epicerie after about 3.5 km and Your Choice in Can Picafort after 11 km, then on to Son Serra de Marina.
After Son Serra the road turns inland towards Artà and the terrain changes. The route rolls up and down through the countryside, reaching about 170 m before Artà, then runs on through Capdepera down to the harbour at Cala Ratjada, the turnaround point.
The way back is the same road: 98 km and about 730 m of climbing in all. This site has no coffee stop between Can Picafort and Cala Ratjada yet, so carry food and water for the middle of the ride.
If you would rather ride only one way, the shorter Bay of Alcúdia ride covers the flat first part.
