Why stop here
Cafè sa Plaça is on the main square of the Santuari de Lluc, the monastery in the heart of the Tramuntana. On the Lluc and Coll de sa Batalla loop it comes right after the climb over the Coll de Femenia, so it is the natural place for a break before the short rise to Coll de sa Batalla and the long descent to Caimari.
It is not a specialty coffee shop. The sanctuary’s own website lists coffee, homemade cakes and pa amb oli, and it is open every day from 9:00 to 19:00.
The sanctuary is a busy place at weekends and in summer, with coaches and visitors, so expect a queue at midday.
